We board from the beach, not a harbor. No marina, no dock, no shuttle. The boat comes in to the sand in front of Whalers Village and you walk on.

- Season

Parasail Maui flies May 16 – December 14.
Parasailing off West Maui stops for the winter while humpback whales are in the channel. It is a required closure, not a scheduling choice. Outside those dates there is nobody on the beach to meet.
01
Park at Whalers Village
Whalers Village is the shopping center right behind the beach. Search “Whalers Village” in your map app rather than our street address. The landmark gets you to the right place.
Parking is not included in the flight price. Whalers Village sets its own rates, so budget for it separately.
02
Walk down to the water
Go through the center toward the beach. On the sand, look for the yellow umbrellas. That is us.
You board at the ingress/egress loading area in front of Whalers Village. The boat comes in, you step on, and it goes back out.
03
Be there 30 minutes early
The crew fit and check every harness on the beach before the boat loads. A boat that is one guest short leaves on time. Arriving on the hour for an on-the-hour departure means missing it.

Getting-here questions
- How long does the whole thing take?
- Your time in the air is 8–17 minutes. The whole trip, from stepping onto the boat to stepping off, runs about an hour, because the boat carries up to 12 guests and everyone flies in turn. Watching the others fly is part of the trip, and it is where most of the photographs get taken.
- What should I wear parasailing?
- A swimsuit if you plan to take a dip, and shorts, a t-shirt and flip-flops if you do not. You fly barefoot, so leave anything that can slide off a foot on the boat. Secure your sunglasses or leave them behind, put your phone in a zip pocket or hand it to the crew, and there is no shade on the boat, so put sunscreen on before you board.
- Where does Parasail Maui leave from?
- From the sand on Kaanapali Beach, in front of Whalers Village, not from a harbor, so there is no marina to find and no shuttle to catch. Park at Whalers Village, walk down to the water, and look for the yellow umbrellas. You board at the ingress/egress loading area in front of Whalers Village.
- Where do I park for Kaanapali Beach parasailing?
- Park at Whalers Village, the shopping center directly behind the beach, then walk towards the water. Search "Whalers Village" in your phone's map app and it brings you to the right place. Navigate to that landmark, not our street address. Parking is not included in the flight price; Whalers Village sets and collects its own parking charges.
- What time should I arrive?
- Parasail Maui boats leave every 30 minutes from 9am to 1pm. Be on the sand 30 minutes before your departure time. The crew fit and check every harness on the beach before the boat loads, and a boat that is one guest short leaves on time.
- What months are you open?
- Parasail Maui flies May 16 – December 14. Parasailing off West Maui stops for the winter while humpback whales are in the channel. It is a required closure, not a scheduling choice. Nobody on West Maui parasails in the winter months, so if you are visiting between December 15 – May 15, a boat trip or a snorkel is the thing to book instead.
