Same-day parasailing on Maui

If you are on Kaanapali Beach and want to go out today, call us. We can see every boat for the day, including seats that are not showing online yet.

Why seats open up

Weather moves bookings around all week. A windy morning pushes guests to the afternoon or the next day. A group of six arrives as four. Someone’s flight home turns out to be earlier than they thought. Each change leaves a seat on a boat that is going out anyway.

The online calendar shows what has not been sold. It does not know that a party of four became two by phone twenty minutes ago. That is why the phone number is at the top of this page.

Three ways to check

  1. Call (808) 431-9287. We see today’s boats in front of us, including gaps that are not online yet.
  2. Book online. Whatever is still unsold, at the same price, and you leave with a confirmed seat.
  3. Walk up and ask. We are under the yellow umbrellas on the sand in front of Whalers Village.

Phone and online cost the same. The phone is faster, not cheaper. We do not hold seats back for callers.

What we cannot promise

A seat. Busy weeks sell out, and nobody on this beach can guarantee a same-day flight in peak season.

What we can promise is a straight answer on one call. If we are full, Kaanapali Beach Parasail runs its own boat a short walk up the same beach, on its own schedule. We will send you there rather than leave you waiting.

04

How late you can book

Boats leave every 30 minutes from 9am, and the last one goes at 1pm. You can book any of them, as long as you can be on the sand 30 minutes before it leaves. The crew fit harnesses on the beach before loading, and the boat does not wait.

We do not fly in rain or excessive wind. The Captain decides, and will resume if conditions clear. So a same-day yes can turn into a no. If it does, you rebook or take a full refund.

Booking questions

What happens if the weather turns?
We do not fly in rain or excessive wind. The Captain decides, and will resume if conditions clear. If we cancel your flight for weather, you can rebook for another day or take a full refund — you are never charged for a flight we call off. This is the main reason to book parasailing early in your trip rather than on your last day: it leaves room to move.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes. Parasail Maui gift certificates are bought online, are good for any flight in the season, and are not tied to a date, so there is nothing to reschedule if plans change.
Can I book parasailing for today?
Often, yes. Same-day seats on Kaanapali Beach open up all the time, usually from weather moves earlier in the week or a group shrinking at the last minute, and they are not always visible online. The fastest way to find out what is left today is to call (808) 431-9287. We can see the day's boats in front of us. Booking online works too and shows whatever is still unsold.
How far in advance should I book?
If your dates are fixed, book early. Busy weeks sell out, and three weeks ahead is sound advice for peak season. If you are flexible, ask what is free today. Either way, book parasailing early in your trip rather than at the end, so a weather day has somewhere to move to.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 72 hours before your flight and you are refunded, less the booking fee and a 10% cancellation fee. If we cancel for weather, you can rebook or take a full refund. No refunds for no-shows.
Can you do a proposal, a birthday or a wedding party?
Yes, with notice. We arrange proposals and celebrations on this boat regularly, and they go better when the crew know in advance: they can position the boat and have the camera ready. Call ahead rather than mentioning it on the beach.
What months are you open?
Parasail Maui flies May 16 – December 14. Parasailing off West Maui stops for the winter while humpback whales are in the channel. It is a required closure, not a scheduling choice. Nobody on West Maui parasails in the winter months, so if you are visiting between December 15 – May 15, a boat trip or a snorkel is the thing to book instead.
